Announcing Filejet 3.0: Expanded Functionality, Improved Ease-of-Use
Until recently, there really was no good way to maintain legal compliance.
Homegrown solutions (usually spreadsheets and calendar alerts) are inefficient and difficult to keep organized. Registered agents are notorious for dropping the ball – while still charging exorbitant fees. Run-of-the-mill software hides manual processes behind slick interfaces and doesn’t save you much time.
Of the “solutions” most organizations use to maintain compliance, very few are capable of achieving the ultimate goal of entity management: reducing risk.
The bottom line is this: organizations that don’t have visibility into the status of their entities and related filings and renewals – or a reliable audit trail – cannot be certain they are in compliance. Do you want to be the one asked why a secretary of state wants to dissolve your business entity or face late fees and penalties?
That is why in-house legal teams, general counsels, managing directors, business owners, CFOs, and others took note when Filejet launched its transparent and automated software system, born from the 35-year-old corporate supply and registered agent service, Allen Corporation Supply. Filejet’s unique combination of automated software and concierge-level service has always been second-to-none on the market.
And it just got even better.
The team spent the first half of 2023 toiling away at Filejet 3.0: an extensive UX/UI overhaul that gives users greater control and more visibility, with anything they need to maintain compliance accessible in just two clicks.
Here’s what’s new.
Redesigned Interface
Let’s start with the obvious: Filejet’s dashboard and sidebar have a new look.
The redesign allows users to see the status of entities immediately when they log in. Action items are flagged and can be handled directly on the dashboard – users no longer need to go into individual entity profiles to complete tasks (though they can if they want).
The sidebar has also been revamped to make navigation easier and more intuitive. Filejet’s new features – an org chart generator and dedicated portals for registered agent services, business licenses and fictitious / trade names – appear here.
Expanded Functionality
Organization Chart
Filejet users can now generate custom org charts based on filings per state, associated DBAs, officers, and more.
Work that could previously only be done within individual entity profiles (like adding and updating entities) may now be completed within the org chart, itself. Users can also complete action items here as well. Any updates made within an org chart will populate across the system.
To better serve clients, even more functionality will be added to the org chart in the fall of 2023. The second phase will allow users to create org charts based on owner percentages, shareholder information and LLCs.
Digital Registered Agent
It is now easier than ever to use Filejet as a registered agent. Users shouldn’t expect status quo RA services though – Filejet is a truly next generation registered agent.
When Filejet receives Service of Process (SOP) notices, they will be uploaded to the new, dedicated portal and time stamped. Users can view, acknowledge, and download mail directly from the platform and route notices to the appropriate stakeholder or department.
The result? A completely transparent and painless RA experience. (We did say not to expect the status quo).
Business License Portal
Users on Filejet’s Professional and Fully Managed platforms will now have access to a dedicated business license portal.
Within the portal, users can view licenses by county, state, or by associated entities. Each year, Filejet will automatically renew licenses and submit county fees to the correct jurisdiction – all users have to do is sit back and watch as the work gets done for them.
If users need to add a new business license, Filejet will obtain the license on their behalf and add it to the system to be renewed automatically. It’s a prime example of Filejet’s value add to clients: whatever can’t be automated will still be handled by our team – and with top notch service to boot.
Fictitious / Trade Name Portal
The final new portal included in the update is dedicated to fictitious / trade names. Here, users can upload and organize documentation related to their DBAs – and complete filings.
When the time comes to renew, users will receive a notification from Filejet. But, unlike other “software” providers Filejet will never let its users fall past due – no matter how much polite pestering is required on our end. (See how our standout service keeps coming into play?)
Improved User Experience
The Filejet team has made countless tiny tweaks to make navigating the portal more intuitive.
The goals:
- Allow users to get to the information they need in as few clicks as possible
- Give users more control and autonomy on the platform
Broadly, the updates that helped us meet these goals include:
- Upgraded entity profiles
- Enhanced calendar functionality
- New “Super Admin” controls (no more changes by request)
- Enhanced searching and filtering
- Revamped and expanded reporting

Filejet Is Driving Change
From Filejet’s experience, and as leaders in the mid-market entity compliance space, we’ve seen a lot. Upon onboarding, our audits show that 44% of Filejet clients have entities they don’t know about and 66% have at least one that is non-compliant – due to manual process errors by registered agents or software that issues reminders but doesn’t do the work.
Filejet is eager to alleviate the pain most organizations feel when it comes to entity management. Since our founding, we have helped people from a wide range of industries achieve pain-free entity management. Filejet is the entity management solution users don’t have to think about, unless they want to.
Whatever can’t be automated on the Filejet platform is handled by our team. That’s why people and companies come to Filejet – in addition to our continuously improving platform, they get the full support of our team, ready to do the heavy lifting.
